The knowledge of child safety awareness is both a topical and practical subject in health and public circles. This forms the core of one of the major initiatives in Trauma Care International Foundation, a leading non-governmental organization and brainchild of the President and Founder of Believers’ Loveworld Inc. a.k.a Christ Embassy, Rev Dr Chris Oyakhilome, DSc, D.D.
Since its inception in 2012, Trauma Care International Foundation is at the forefront of efforts to increase child awareness of basic first aid and safety measures through health education, advocacy and community- based programs in the simplest terms.
The Child Safety Awareness Campaign is in line with the MDG4 (millennium development goal), the WHO’s Child Environmental Health Program and Global School Health Initiative.
Through several outreaches including more than 117 Campaigns in Africa of which over 70% were held in schools, over 23,000 children and 6,000 adults have been trained and are better positioned to respond appropriately to emergencies.
